Traditional calderos are made from heavy gauge pressed aluminum. They are energy efficient, durable, easy to maintain and safe to handle around the kitchen:
Energy Efficiency - The pressed aluminum body facilitates uniform heat distribution throughout the bottom of the caldero for even cooking and efficient cooking times
Durability – With its sturdy design and construction, it withstands daily heavy use in the busiest Latin restaurants. Its non-porous interior and exterior surfaces do not absorb grease nor other food residue making it easy to clean and maintain its shine for many years
Handling – Its light, materials and its oversized “ear” handles make it easy and safe to handle even when using mittens or other safety wear
Tempered Glass Lid – Heat-resistant, transparent glass lid with steel rim, safety valve and heat-resistant knob make easy and convenient to keep an eye on that prized recipe
**In order to preserve the integrity of your aluminum caldero, we recommend using mild dish detergent, hand-wash only. We strongly suggest you do not wash your caldero in a dishwasher.
